About the Journal
Learn about our mission, multidisciplinary scope, rigorous peer-review standards, and the SHD Research Foundation.
Aims and Scope
The Journal of Ideas, Policies and Practices (JIPP) is a multidisciplinary, peer-reviewed open-access journal dedicated to publishing critical academic scholarship in political science, history, international relations, public policy, philosophy, and humanities. In alignment with the New Education Policy (NEP) 2020, JIPP bridges theoretical discourses with applied policymaking, nurturing established researchers as well as promising young scholars.
The journal provides a premier scholarly platform for critical debate on historical perspectives, contemporary governance models, social justice, constitutional values, diplomacy, and education. We publish original research articles, review papers, policy analyses, and historical reassessments that bridge theoretical formulations with real-world implications.
Double-Blind Peer Review Policy
To maintain uncompromising academic standards, JIPP implements a double-blind peer-review system:
- The identities of both authors and reviewers remain confidential throughout the evaluation.
- Initial screening is performed by the Chief Editor and Associate Editors to ensure thematic suitability, academic integrity, and originality.
- Submissions passing initial editorial screening are dispatched to at least two external subject matter experts.
- Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on originality, methodological soundness, analytical depth, ethical compliance, and clarity of exposition.
- The final decision regarding acceptance, revision, or rejection rests conclusively with the Chief Editor and Advisory Board.

Universal Open Access
JIPP adheres strictly to the principles of universal Open Access. All articles published in JIPP are immediately and permanently free to read, download, print, search, and link for anyone with an internet connection. There are no submission fees, publication fees, or reading charges.
